Mobile Health Platform Lets Patients Manage Prescriptions via Smartphone

Customers of over 10,000 retail pharmacies using the PDX Pharmacy System may soon be able to manage prescriptions through their mobile phones. The communications platform, developed by mscripts, allows patients to communicate with their pharmacies through text messaging and mobile applications. The system is fully integrated with existing PDX pharmacy management technology.

The joint offering by mscripts and PDX is aimed at speeding up prescription refills, improving adherence, and increasing customer convenience. Patients can manage prescriptions and receive dosage reminders by text message, mobile browsers, or various branded mobile applications. The service is designed to work with popular mobile phones and other devices like the iPhone (News - Alert), BlackBerry, Android, Windows Mobile, and Palm. PDX and mscripts are planning to hold webinars soon to provide customers with more information.  Via PRNewswire
